Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 26, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Theostack, a product of Lordhill Digital LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit theostack.com and use the Theostack platform (collectively, the “Service”).
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or application. They allow the service to recognize your browser, remember your preferences, and maintain your session. Some cookies are essential for the service to function; others help us understand how the service is used.
Cookies We Use
The following table describes the cookies and similar storage mechanisms used by Theostack.
| Name / Pattern | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-* | Supabase authentication and session management. These cookies maintain your logged-in state and secure your session across page loads. | Session / up to 1 year | Essential |
ph_* | PostHog analytics. Used to understand how the service is used, track feature adoption, and identify performance issues. No advertising data is collected. | 1 year | Analytics |
__posthog | PostHog feature flag evaluation. Determines which features are enabled for your session. | 1 year | Analytics |
pending_plan | Stores the plan you selected on the marketing site so it can be applied after you log in or create an account. | 1 hour | Functional |
ts_first_session | Set immediately after onboarding completes. Used to show a personalized welcome screen on first login. Expires automatically after 5 minutes. | 5 minutes | Functional |
theostack_ref | Records the referral source when you arrive via a referral link. Used to attribute new signups to the correct referrer. Not used for advertising. | 30 days | Functional |
pending_beta_code | Temporarily stores a beta invitation code while you complete the magic-link sign-in flow, so the code can be validated after authentication. | 1 hour | Functional |
pending_org_invite | Temporarily stores an organization invite code while you complete the magic-link sign-in flow, so the invite can be applied after authentication. | 1 hour | Functional |
Stripe cookies | Stripe.js may set cookies during the checkout process for fraud prevention and payment processing. These cookies are managed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own cookie policy. | Varies | Essential (third-party) |
Local Storage
In addition to cookies, Theostack uses your browser's local storage to persist interface preferences. These are not cookies and are never sent to our servers. They include:
- Theme preference — your selected light or dark mode setting.
- Sidebar state — whether the sidebar and its sections are expanded or collapsed.
- Sermon archive toggle — your display preferences for the sermon archive feature (Church plan only).
- Banner dismissals — whether you have dismissed announcement banners or promotional prompts.
Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options in your browser's “Settings,” “Preferences,” or “Privacy” menu. You can choose to block or delete cookies, but please be aware that disabling essential cookies (such as the Supabase authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in and using the Service.
To opt out of PostHog analytics cookies, you can use your browser's cookie settings to block cookies from the PostHog domain, or contact us and we will disable analytics tracking for your account.
